U.S. EPA Approval for 15% Ethanol Blends seen as ‘Unlikely’

The probability that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency will grant Growth Energy’s request for a waiver that would permit ethanol blends of up to 15% in gasoline is not very likely, according to Washington sources.

U.S. EIA: Global Oil Demand to Fall 1.7 million b/d in 2009

The U.S. Energy Information Administration in its Short-Term Energy Outlook estimated that the majority of falling oil demand worldwide this year came from developed countries. As the year progresses, the economy is expected to improve, first in Asia and other developing regions. Once the economy improves, oil demand also is expected to grow.
