RFA to U.S. DOE: Make Loan Guarantee Program More User-friendly

The Renewable Fuels Association has written to U.S. Sec. of Energy Steven Chu, urging him to make needed changes in the U.S. Department of Energy’s loan guarantee program for biofuel biorefineries.

Three Types of Alternative Jet Fuel May Be Commercially Available over Next Decade: Study

RAND Corp. and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology recently conducted a study on the “Near-Term Commercial Feasibility of Alternative Jet Fuels,” sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration. Among the study’s key findings were that in the next decade, up to three alternative jet fuels may be available in commercial quantities.
