Netherlands-based Heinen-Hopman Engineering (H&H) this month told Diesel Fuel News that it’s seeking a partner for commercial-scale pilot testing of its new marine distillate fuel (MDF) “chiller” technology for solving the viscosity problem when ships switch from high-sulfur heavy fuel oil (HFO) to relatively low-sulfur marine gasoil (MGO) or marine diesel oil (MDO) in emissions-control areas (ECAs).
