Jack Peckham is executive editor of Diesel Fuel News and Gasification News. Jack came to Hart 13 years ago from the newsletter group of the Financial Times of London, where he was editor of U.S. Oil Week. Before that, Jack was a reporter for Knight-Ridder newspapers. Jack was a University Board of Governors Scholar at Wayne State University in his native Detroit, Michigan, where he was graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism and English in 1979. When not traveling on business, he makes his home in Colombia, South America.
Theresa Ward is Managing Editor, Downstream Newsletters, for Hart Energy Publishing. Since 1997, Ward has worked as an editor and writer for trade publications covering telecom, energy and business relocation as well as writing business guides to various U.S. cities. Before relocating to the Houston area in 1996, Ward lived in Los Angeles, where she was a writer and segment producer for a variety of syndicated TV programs. She studied French and English at Southern Methodist University, Dallas; the University of Texas, Austin; as well as at the Alliance Francaise in Paris.
Kristie Sotolongo is associate editor in Hart Energy's Downstream Newsletter Division. Before joining Hart in 2010, she worked as a production analyst for El Paso Corp. Previously, she spent a number of years at Platts and ICIS price reporting/energy news services, producing benchmark assessments and market analysis on crude, refined products, natural gas, petrochemicals and electricity. She holds a bachelor's degree in communications from Sam Houston State University.
Bryan Sims is editor of Ethanol & Biofuels News. Prior to joining Hart, Bryan held the position of associate editor for BBI International, covering the world of biofuels for the company's two premier publications, Biodiesel Magazine and Biorefining Magazine. Before covering biofuels, he wrote for two daily newspapers located in Wahpeton, N.D. and Crookston, Minn. Sims is currently a member of the Army National Guard and is entering his 16th year of service. He holds a bachelor's degree in communications from the University of North Dakota.
Zahra Ahmed is assistant editor, Downstream. She previously was the city hall reporter at the Fort Bend Herald, a local Houston newspaper. In college, she was selected for the Houston Chronicle internship program, where she contributed numerous articles. Ahmed graduated from the University of Houston with a bachelor’s degree in print journalism.
Ari Roman is circulation manager for Hart Energy Publishing, responsible for client record management, subscriptions and billing for many publications. He has held similar positions at Jobson Medical Information and Chemical Week Associates. Ari received a bachelor's degree in administration in marketing from Pace University in New York.
