Officials with ICM Inc. announced June 8 that they have signed a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Dept. of Energy to receive US$25 million to fund the construction and operation of its cellulosic ethanol pilot and demonstration facility in St. Joseph, Mo.

KBR to Provide Engineering Services for Pilot Algal Biofuels Plant in Australia
KBR announced June 7 that the company has been chosen to provide engineering services for a pilot plant designed to produce fuel from algae. It was recently announced that the plant, to be located in South East Queensland, Australia, will receive about US$1.3 million in funding from the Queensland government.
