Crude Futures Experience Sharp Decline
Crude futures posted their largest one-day decline since July on Feb.4. The price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for March delivery fell US$3.84 to settle at 73.14 per barrel (bbl), and Brent crude for March delivery fell $3.79 to close at $72.13/bbl.

Enterprise Products Partners: Organic Growth Over Acquisitions
Enterprise Products Partners’ Q4 2009 results were highlighted by a 42% increase in revenue to US$8.4 billion and a 78% increase in net income to $406 million due to record natural gas liquid, crude and petrochemical volumes that it transported, as well as record equity NGL production and fractionation volumes and increased volumes of natural gas it transported.

Royal Dutch Shell Q4 Earnings: Downstream Loss of US$1.8 Billion
Royal Dutch Shell Feb. 4 reported fourth quarter downstream results were a loss of $1.8 billion compared to earnings of $561 million in the fourth quarter 2008 due to substantially lower refining margins, lower refinery plant intake volumes and reduced sales volumes of oil products.
