Warmer Temperatures Cause Oil Futures to Dip

According to analysts, oil prices declined Jan. 11 as warmer weather reversed a cold snap that brought freezing temperatures to the United States, Europe and parts of Asia. The price of West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude for February delivery settled at US$82.52 per barrel (bbl), down 23¢. Brent crude for February delivery dropped 35¢ to close at $80.97/bbl.
