According to an August 22 report by Platts citing an email by spokesperson at Petróleos Mexicanos (Pemex), the Mexican state-owned company is executing a US$1.196-billion clean-fuels initiative that will see low-sulfur fuel production ramp at the 270,000 barrel-per-day (b/d) Cadereyta refinery outside Monterrey and at the 152,000-b/d Madero refinery in Tamaulipas.
