Sweden-based Preem announced March 28 that it will shut its fluid catalytic cracker (FCC) for inspection work and its mild hydrocracker (MHC) unit for early-catalyst replacement, with both jobs scheduled for completion between March 29 and April 23.

Switzerland-based Foster Wheeler announced March 28 that it won a contract from JSC Novo-Ufimsky Refinery (a subsidiary of Russian oil company Bashneft) for the engineering and material supply of a new “Terrace Wall” steam reformer heater and air preheating system for the Ufa refinery in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia.
